249 Words | Branwen My destiny's not for the rest to see "Hey, you! You're not ThunderClan. What are you do-" Groaning, the white she-cat picked herself up from her hiding place and made a run for it. Dirty white paws flew through the undergrowth sloppily, leaving a definitive trail of smashed plants and broken twigs behind her. Her nose had just stopped bleeding, and she wasn't about to reopen the wound getting in another tussle with one of those mean forest cats. Well, she couldn't give herself that much credit. It wasn't so much a tussle as it was getting scared off - not that she'd refer to it that way. Branwen could hear her pursuer gaining on her, felt their hot breath on her tail. A feeling of panic started rising in her chest, and when she turned her head to look back at the other cat her paw tripped on a stray root. Her body went rolling towards the river at such a speed that she couldn't stop herself. KER-SPLASH! The white she-cat landed in the water with an audible splash. The cold water was a shock and, never having been in a river before, it scared the wits out of her. Though she wasn't in total danger, panic set in and her reasoning flew out the window. "Can't swim, can't swim, can't swim," She flailed her limbs uselessly, pawing for solid ground as the water pulled her deeper in. In her weakened, exhausted state [and without much strength to begin with] she couldn't fight any kind of current. And if you think it is well I think you're mistaken |
