OAKSTAR is an abrasive and uncompromising individual with black and white views of the world, but the sustainability of RiverClan’s strength and success is his number one priority, and he’ll act in whatever means necessary to keep it at its best. It’s no secret that Oakstar’s difficult to work with; if he disagrees with a point that’s brought to his attention, he’ll make it painfully clear where he stands. He might not come across as the kind of cat who can be sought out for sympathies or emotional support, and while that’s true in most cases, he’s simply blunt and purposeful in everything he does. He holds RiverClan’s best interest at heart, and that needs to be remembered at all times. Cold-blooded as he may sometimes seem, he’s hard-working, efficient and undoubtedly dedicated to his charge.

It needs to be understood that if at any point in time one of RiverClan’s neighbours are severely hindered, Oakstar will take advantage of it without a hint of remorse. He’s reluctant to ally even in RiverClan’s darkest hours, but just as well he’s not foolish—alliances, however, are never not temporary, so at no point in time can he be considered a true comrade in the eyes of a non-RiverClanner thorough and thorough. He won’t lend RiverClan’s help unless there’s a foreseeable benefit, so to ask is to waste time.

Oakstar’s approach to these situations is much different from his predecessor’s. He has no tolerance for love when it reaches beyond RiverClan’s border and muddies a warrior’s loyalty to their Clan, and if a relationship of this kind is brought to his attention, it will need to be destroyed—not so simply ended. Under no circumstances will an outsider to RiverClan be welcomed into its ranks; if his warrior has an issue with that they’re more than welcome to leave by their own will, otherwise it’ll be his will to exile them should they fail to completely cut their ties to the outsider.

conclusion

While he may seem like a traditionalist down to every last detail of his being, Oakstar can be lenient about matters of the Code in special circumstances. For instance, he’ll willingly send a RiverClan patrol onto another Clan’s territory to hunt if their land isn’t sustaining them, and he has no qualms with trespassing (and even attacking) to benefit RiverClan should an opportunity present itself. It might be next to impossible to connect with him, but he’s a useful cat to have on your side, and he does mean well for his Clanmates even if he doesn’t always show it. There’s simply a certain way that Oakstar believes a warrior should conduct themselves, and a certain way that he expects things to be done.

DARKSTAR , with his quiet and occasionally cold disposition certainly does not appear a leader who lets too many actions get away without being addressed. Relatively strict, he has no qualms about approaching cats with issues, and setting down the law as it needs to be understood. While he has the patience to handle mistakes and the occasional deliberate move against the warrior code, he expects cats to learn from corrections, and comes down hard when repeat offenders come to notice. He prides himself on organisation and observation of all his clan mates, even if small talk isn't something many will find him taking part in, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at any costs.

If a cat is not part of ShadowClan, they are not worth his time. Darkstar has no desire to form alliances, no desire to help the other clans with their petty fights and struggles. If a cat isn't part of ShadowClan, they are scum that is taking up valuable resources and a threat to their continued survival. While he will follow the warrior code to the extent of caring for kits and doing what is necessary to maintain four clans in the forest, that is it. An intruder will be sent away with scars. All are challenged and little mercy is granted under Darkstar's rule. Whether a cat leaves alive or not is not something Darkstar particularly fusses himself with - a key exception to his otherwise regimented following of the warrior code.

Darkstar is not a soul who understands the drifting of romance beyond the border of the clan, nor will he take pity on them. It is a sign of their disloyalty, of their lack in commitment to ShadowClan and their future. It is a sign of weakness between their pact and bond as a clan and he will not stand for it. Those who are found will be challenged harshly, and monitored to ensure the relationship is immediately broken off, and continued to be constantly accompanied until they prove themselves loyal to ShadowClan and ShadowClan alone. If they break supervision or fight against their challenge, they will be exiled without question. The only, and even then weak exception is if the forbidden romance results in a new cat for ShadowClan. While he will accept newcomers, they will be supervised like those who have gone against their commitment to the clan, and will need to prove themselves like any other. The ShadowClan cat will too undergo this watch. Should kits be the outcome of a forbidden relationship without the other cat joining the clan, things are complicated. If a cat fathered the kits for another clan, they will be exiled without question. However, should a cat be bearing the kits, so long as no other clan challenges them for the kits and the relationship is cut off under regular surveillance rules, the queen will be allowed to stay and care for the offspring. However they will not be told or treated as though they are half-clan. Should the kits be challenged for, Darkstar will not be fighting for them to remain in ShadowClan. The queen will be exiled and the kits dealt to the other clan. he does not wish to deal with such impurities within his borders.

However, while this is true for cats who go beyond the borders, it is important to note that when it comes to StarClan's rules on who can and can't have relationships within the clan? Darkstar couldn't care less. In his book, any relationship within the clan should be permitted, and if StarClan wish otherwise, they can enforce their pathetic rules.

conclusion

In many respects Darkstar is a strict leader. He abides mostly by the warrior code, with the exception of killing those outside ShadowClan. Cats who remain true and loyal to ShadowClan he will give chances to learn from their mistakes, however he does not hold back from bringing up issues in behaviours and actions, and comes down hard on repeat offenders. However, going outside the clan will not be tolerated, and traitors will be handled harshly. He is a leader who will accept newcomers, however they will need to prove themselves before they will be left unsupervised. If a cat does their duties and remains whole and true to ShadowClan, Darkstar will not cause them any grief. However, for those who test boundaries or go beyond then, their time within ShadowClan is limited. If a cat is not whole and true in their dedication, they are as much scum as the cats who refer to themselves as anything else.

ROWANSTAR is a she-cat of initial strict disposition, ruling over her Clan with a firm paw and a striking wit. As leader, she expects her word to be treated as law and no less. Despite this, she’s certainly no dictator, nor an obsessive devotee of the Warrior Code; known to approach each and every issue or obstacle on a case by case basis, there’s a softer side to this strong willed individual that only her clanmates may bear witness to. Rowanstar can be lenient, though each and every decision she makes is treated as final; she’s much too proud to turn back on her word.

Concerning relations outside ThunderClan, Rowanstar tries her best to keep on neutral terms with her rival leaders. Alliances are formed with only selfish intentions in mind; though she would never resort to underhanded tactics, or take advantage of a misfortunate situation, her heart is ultimately cemented within ThunderClan. Regarding rogues, loners or kittypets joining her ranks, it’s very case by case; mostly it will depend on age, reasoning and the individual itself. Rowanstar attempts to approach these sorts of issues in a calm and unbiased way, though it’s undeniable that those outside of ThunderClan linage will have to work extra hard to gain her trust and respect. One wrong move, and she won’t hesitate to send them packing.

Now cross-clan romances are a completely different story. These tales seem to appeal to her more vulnerable side, to the point where she’ll often allow the relationship to continue, pending that the other warrior leaves their home to join hers. Should a compromise not be met, then Rowanstar will demand an end to the relationship, though not at all with ease. Kittens only make things more complicated; Rowanstar wouldn’t hesitate in a heartbeat to fight for kits half ThunderClan, particularly if it’s the Clan their mother heralds from. If the blood of her Clan runs in their veins, then she’ll automatically claim them as her own.

conclusion

Overall, she's a tactical individual, one that attempts fairness, but will ultimately do what she thinks best for the Clan of her birth. Her bull headed pride and stubborn, sharp edged personality certainly don't have her making the best of decisions, but she does try her best in all that she puts her mind to. It's far too early during her rule to see how she develops into such a prestigious role - only time, and the obstacles and politics she'll have to face, will tell.

ASPENSTAR may not run windclan like many other cats want, but she is for the people. Not expecting to be put in a position of power Aspenstar is very hit and miss with her policies. As such she looks to the support of her clan mates in return. As she knows she is a role model, but in the end she believes that everyone should have a voice and that everyone's views count. At the end of the day, Windclan's interests are hers. She wants to protect and preserve the clan and their survival takes priority over image and the like. Aspenstar is a kind leader, but when her intellect shows it shines through and makes other cats listen to her easily.

Aspenstar believes fully in the starclan code. You can easily have friends within other clans but at the end of the day Windclan is your home and your home takes up priority first even if that means one day fighting against your beloved friends. The she-cat may be kind, but she's very cautious with being an ally with a clan. She knows others may not be as kind as she - as such she needs to protect Windclan from a chance of betrayal. She'd have to have at least a vague idea of how the leader was to consider allying. At the end of the day she's still a middle man and wishes Windclan to be the same. They worry about their own problems and only help when it might have an effect on Windclan themselves.

Aspenstar is in the belief that love happens - but you can also have some sort of resistance to act upon these urges. As such the warrior code says it's forbidden for their loyalty, Aspenstar is also aware that cats sometimes make mistakes in their lives(one night stands and the such). It isn't always blood that proves your worth it is your actions. However how would others see them if they were a clan of half clan and kittypets. Any she-cats that may become pregnant in the event they cannot follow Aspenstar's rule will be forced to never disclose who the father is and their kits are to be raised as knowing to be windclan cats.

There is also the issue of the others leaders rules. Cats must be wary of these because respect is key. Aspenstar fully believes that kits born on windclan soil belong on windclan soil. If a clan wants to steal those kits - then she'll gladly fight for them. Tom's in this case should they be found having relations with another clan cat Aspenstar will personally be questioning their loyalty. The kits stay with their mother Aspenstar believes so the tom has a choice either to leave the clan to "try" and be with their lover or strip their thoughts and stay with windclan. Should they be found not fully being into Windclan they will be exiled.

In the case of an OUTSIDER, the act of it being a she-cat. The windclan tom has a choice - convince the she-cat to join or leave the clan with her. As for toms, they either join Windclan and strip themselves of their previous lives. Or leave and the she-cat must remain within the clan with never disclosing who the father may be.

conclusion

In the end Aspenstar may not be the most traditional of leaders. She believes fully in the will of Starclan but also of the cats of Windclan being able to make their own decisions without being mindless drones. Windclan MUST be the top priority at the end of the day. However carry yourself with pride, don't let the other clans push you over and let them know that Aspenstar's kindness is not a free hand out. Make good choices, be aware they have consequences but be an individual.

@hazelstar is neither strict nor lenient, but somewhere in the middle. She deems her word as law; nothing more, nothing less. Disobeying her word is not to be tolerated and those who do will be met with a sharp-tongue from Hazelstar herself. Despite this, she is not in any way, shape or form, a tyrant. Each issue brought to her will be handled accordingly, the outcome very much depending on the situation. She likes to think of herself as a leader of her word; any decision she makes is final, for she is much too stubborn to take anything back.

As far as relations outside of Riverclan go, Hazelstar is considerably indifferent whether she is viewed as an enemy or an ally. Alliances are formed under extreme circumstances; her clan comes first and if the alliance does not benefit them, then it isn't worth it. As far as outsiders go (loners, rogues, or kittypets) they are not welcome within Riverclan. Although she will attempt to approach these situations in a calm manner, she is biased against outsiders and the situation may very well turn hostile if she is present. Despite this, she is not heartless; depending on age and whether the individual is in dire need, they will be permitted to stay within the clan on a trial bases. One wrong move is grounds enough for removal in her eyes.

The Riverclan leader views these type of situations with a much softer approach. The Warrior Code is all but non-existent when it comes to cross-clan relationships; love is love, no matter what Starclan may think. If said relationship effects her warrior's duties to his or her clan, then she will put an end to the relationship in a heartbeat. As far as kits are concerned, she will fight for them with every breath in her body, especially if the kits' mother is of her clan.

In light of all this, it is clear Riverclan is her top priority; her unwavering loyalty lays with her clan of birth. Hazelstar maybe strict in her ways at times, but no one can ever claim the she-cat to be unfair. Her hot headed and stubborn, outspoken personality may lead the she-cat to make decisions that aren't the best, but she is determined to put forth her best efforts in everything she does. She is doing her damnedest to be a leader Riverclan can be proud of.

MORNINGSTAR is a very driven cat, and this shows in the way they lead their Clan. They are very obsessed with WindClan's appearance and title - and so, they can be strict in turn. While not necessarily a ruler by fear, they will not hesitate to take charge and set a line in the sand for what they will and will not let pass. Given their 'my way or out you go' mentality, they're difficult to compromise with, and it takes an extremely convincing argument to get them on your side if they were not already. Overall, their prowess of a leader comes from their near unshakable fortitude and their unwillingness, in many situations, to compromise. It should be thankful that most of their decisions are made with proper thought and not impulse.

Morningstar sees other Clans as either an asset or hindrance and nothing in between. That is to say, either they're their enemies, or they're their friends. "Friends" is rather loose, in this case, as in reality, they see other Clans as pawns to forward WindClan's goals. While there is a genuine respect for the natural order of StarClan, they also have a greater respect for their own Clan, and if they see making another Clan's cats roll over as an advantage for WindClan, they will not hesitate to do it. You would hate to be owed Morningstar anything, as they will make it very clear that you have that favor indebted to them for them to cash in at any time they need it, and they will hold you to it. A part of Morningstar also doesn't trust their fellow Clans, so they're not beyond a little back stabbing or jerking around if it gets WindClan what it needs.

Morningstar does not tolerate these whatsoever. Being a proud WindClanner as they are, they believe in the sanctity of WindClan, and for a Clanmate to go ahead and break that sanctity is taken as a personal insult to them. This Clanmate has to make a very good appeal to be able to stay within the Clan after that. Might as well go crawling over to where their mate lives, after all!

The only exception to this is if this Clanmate is pregnant, in which case they will keep the Clanmate only for fresh new WindClan kittens. And by all means, they will be WindClan kittens; if other Clans attempt to take them, Morningstar is more than willing to throw out accusations of war toward the other Clan. No one else gets to stake ownership over what's born on WindClan soil unless the cats themselves make the informed decision to leave.

After the term of pregnancy is over, Morningstar will give the mother a choice: either stay and raise the kits and still have WindClan as a home, or leave. If that cat didn't want kits, then too bad; that cat is simply going to have to leave WindClan behind and Morningstar will find another cat to nurse them. In the event that this happens, the kittens are to never be told who their real parents are. After all, what would it matter? That cat, as far as Morningstar is concerned, no longer exists.As far as kits are concerned, she will fight for them with every breath in her body, especially if the kits' mother is of her clan.

All in all, Morningstar is a very prideful cat who believes primarily in the strength of WindClan, and they are not at all lenient on this stance. While they care about their Clanmates, they care about the strength of the Clan as a whole more than any particular individual. They are willing to protect and die for each member in their Clan, giving up any potential temptation otherwise, but if they find their Clanmates are not willing to pay them or the Clan the same respect, they're merciless in letting them know they're not welcome.

The Pecking Order is a sandbox style role-play that allows you to explore the delicate balance of life and death throught the eyes of Warriors. This is a dog-eat-dog world and only the fittest are able to survive. In the wild, there is no saving grace, no mercy, or saviors - only survival. Find your place among the hierarchy, or die trying. You must do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of a clan, and try not to get trampled along the way. You are either predator or prey, so find your place in the spectrum.

The Pecking Order is centered in the original forest setting, in an alternate universe based on the Warriors novels by Erin Hunter. Find your soul in the gentle queen, or the brave leader, or the fierce warrior. TPO has a word minimum of 200 per post, but welcomes roleplayers of all types.

GREENLEAF - As the forest approaches the end of greenleaf, the heat seems to only be increasing. Prey runs well across all clans, plentiful even in the increasing hot weather. While there have been thunderstorms, for the past moon the storms have been fewer in number, creating a relatively dry heat across all clans.
