Firefalcon- ThunderClan DeputyThe bright blues of the sky could be seen occasionally through the canopy and it made Firefalcon feel if she was staring into the void. She didn’t even think she had seen a cloud yet. Part of her still felt very new at this whole ‘deputy’ thing and it still made her feel like ThunderClan themselves made a terrible choice. She was sure StarClan – if they were real- were probably rather upset. If Rowanstar passed- would she even receive her nine lives with her muddy blood? The blue furred she-cat shook her head to get rid of the thought. That probably wouldn’t happen and Rowanstar would come to realize she picked a terrible cat for the job. That was that. That’s all she needed to focus on currently.
Setting up patrols put a major cramp in her style – as she was often wanting to go alone. However, as a deputy it was her job to organize patrols. Such a stupid job in her opinion, but not surprising in hindsight. Some cats probably would overlap and it would waste resources. Though she still didn’t understand why she had to be the one to do it when they could each come up with their own schedules each day in front of everyone else. Maybe she should try to implement that. A pause came from her own thoughts before she had a small mental laugh. No one would listen to a kittypet – even if it was the deputy.
She had chosen Sootnose and (as much as she thought the cat was wound tighter than a snake) Whitepaw. She only had concerns about Whitepaw as she was well aware of the cat’s personality. She was pretty sure everyone in ThunderClan was well aware of Whitepaw’s personality. Sootnose from what she knew of him was very laid back and she respected that. In fact, she wished that she had enough confidence to create a discussion with him. She was sure his views could be very helpful to the clan. The clans needed more cats like him than Whitepaw.
None the less, Whitepaw was integral in clan life – and Firefalcon despite her disapproval- was sure that the apprentice would go far. Her eyes flicked across camp as she shifted impatiently – her claws digging into the dirt at every three heartbeats. She was early for the patrol – she knew that for sure, but part of her wished they would hurry up since she wanted to be out of there much earlier and get back much earlier. She wanted to share some prey with Bluefeather if she could.
She was sure that when she saw them and greeted them they could be off for the patrol. She was wary on bringing Whitepaw near the RiverClan border- but with two warriors to stop her should she be particularly thorny or provoked she thought the odds would be on her side.
LOST with Whitepaw & CAWN with Sootnose
