land inspections (open event)

After the storm, it was nice to have some sunlight. It took enough time to fix the camp, but, a day later everything seemed to be getting back to normal. There was a yawn on Sootnose’s tongue like usual as he moved along with the small patrol toward the thunderpath. Sunlight dappled the ground underpaw, the leaves fluttering and rustling with the small breeze, and the Greenleaf sun took one more chance of heating the forest at full force before the season shifted toward colder weather. However, even then the faintest browns were starting to appear in the trees above. An indication enough of what was to come.

Sootnose still didn’t like patrols, but, right at that moment, there was peace enough that he didn’t mind. He glanced back over the other cats, before turning his attention back to the path ahead. The scents of the thunderpath were as strong as ever through the trees and undergrowth, the faint smell of ShadowClan wafting down toward them. However, there was something else too that had Sootnose slowly down with a flick of his tail to gesture to the rest of the patrol to do the same. “Twolegs?” he asked, glancing back to the other cats once more. A clatter and distant noises, had the tom jolting slightly, head twisting back toward the thunderpath, ears lowering against his head slightly.
