Darkstar is a cat who seems to have a presence without saying a word. Quiet by nature, he doesn't feel the need to be grand and cause an uproar, or make his appearance known, nor does the idea of talking for the sake of taking appeal to him most days. He's a cat who blends into the background most of the time, merging with the shadows, watching, more than being in the limelight. No, he quite happy to leave that position for other members of the clan. However, when he does want to be seen or noticed, those in the area know he's there. A cat of extreme patience, Darkstar is a cat who can take a lot from those around him, their jokes and mistakes, even conscious rule-breaking. There just doesn't seem to be all that much which can shake the tom out of such a state. There's just a calmness around the feline which not only keeps him level-headed, but seems to assist the rest of the clan. He's not the type who'll break into a panic, and knows how to deal with those who do to distract them from issues at paw.
That being said, those who believe he doesn't have a temper, are sorely mistaken. If anything, he runs on an incredibly short fuse, and when rubbed up the wrong way, he can become cold, very, very fast. His anger isn't the typical yelling. No, if there's one thing Darkstar won't do, it's raise his voice. However, he knows what looks to give, and how to word orders, to get the point that he's not happy, or that he's giving an order across. While he's flexible with most things, Darkstar knows the warrior code and the rules he runs his clan under, and won't tolerate repeat offences when it comes to rule breaking. Whether he's patient or not, there's only so much that can be brushed off before he'll grow strict. The tom knows how to enforce rules, and can be intimidating when he wants to be to make sure a message gets across. If Darkstar is anything, it's honest and straightforward. While he can be gentle when he chooses to, he doesn't loop around the issue, and will always make sure those around him know what they've done wrong.
He's a strong believer in that every warrior needs to be able to accept the truth of reality and won't avoid that. Apprentices, while he'll be a bit gentler, he's still not going to avoid the issue or make it seem any better than it is. Darkstar lives for the clan, and the clan alone, his loyalty to its functioning and survival his main concern in life. In turn, it leaves him incredibly organised. No patrol ordered by him will run late or be rushed together. He knows his clan, and works to make sure the best cats go on the best patrols together, and won’t hesitate to pass this onto Onyxfeather. Quick-thinking and alert, he's always on top of what's going around, and will easily share this information with anyone who asks. Despite his tendency of being cold when irritated, Darkstar is well known for at least having open ears when an issue does come up, and rather wise in his advice to those who do come to him. While he may not have been born there, he's aware of how the clan and the forest function, and works around that to help those he can.
All in all, he's not the strictest tom in the clan, and when talked to, can easily bend plans and rules to help those around him. With a dry, sarcastic sense of humour, he's not above teasing those around him, and can crack a joke when he wants to. His sense of humour isn't something he's known for, but it's there, and he's got enough of a thick skin that jokes thrown his way don't sink through often. However, he is certainly not playful, and no attempts will change that.
There... is one more thing that needs to be addressed however. Darkstar works for the clan, yes, and in a way, the whole clan is his family. But those who he forms closer connections to, those who he cannot live without, he's over-protective of. No one will touch them if he has anything to do with it, and, he can turn aggressive, fast. Those who go against him or those he cares deeply about, he won't forget. He's not a forgiving cat when he takes personal offence, and will hold a grudge asking as the other cat is alive.
In battle, the main thing to keep in mind is he's a strategist. He doesn't improvise, he thinks every little decision through, in clan life, and in battle. He knows what he's doing and works around that. His anger only works in such a way that it makes him more keen to win, to press on, to prove that he's better than those around him. He's not above killing those who get in the way of this. It's the one part of the warrior code that he will disregard, even if he's incredibly good at covering up murder as an accident.
While he would never lay a paw on a clan mate unless they started it, those outside the clan? He won't hesitate to leave with scars. He's a deadly battle opponent who won't hold back, even in a simple border patrol. The other clans are scum in his opinion, and while he'll play nice and respectful at gatherings, besides that, he's not above removing those who threaten his own clan from existence. He doesn't fight to make a point then back off. He fights to make a point by showing those around his opponent, why they should back off by serious harm. A cat is either in his clan, or a waste of space using valuable resources.
